You can add a text watermark to your file by following the steps below in Excel software:
Open the file or file that you created in Excel and want to put a watermark on it.
Navigate to the Ribbon area, click the Insert tab, click Text, and select Header & Footer.
Now enter your watermark entry in the small space that opens.

The font of the text is set to 11pts by default, which makes the watermark text invisible to you.
Go to the Home tab and enlarge your font size to make it clearer.
The watermark text should now be visible to you and you should see it at the top of your Excel spreadsheet.

To set the position of a text watermark on an Excel screen, tap the Header area, hover over the text, and press Enter repeatedly on the keyboard to place the watermark text exactly where you want it.

Depending on your watermark, there may be some inconsistency with the original Excel text. To solve this problem, you can use a lighter color. To make the watermark gray and lighter, click on the Header area, select the Font Color option, and choose the gray color with whatever intensity you like.

When you're done, click anywhere except the header area.

The changes you made to your text watermark are now displayed. Using this method, the watermark will be applied to all your Excel sheets.

You can use the print preview (File> Print) to see how it is displayed on your file and make the necessary changes before printing.
